Our History

Mr. Gregory Otto, an honors graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, founded Global Marine LLC to service the business community by bridging the gap between operations and finance in the maritime industry.

What drove Gregory to begin consulting and solutions work was his strong ability to analyze the interconnectedness of organizational systems, and, as a result, identify value-add opportunities for organizations that others were overlooking. His time at the Academy provided Greg with a unique perspective on the shipping industry, as well as building further upon his strong work ethic, goal-oriented attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Gregory has direct experience in transportation logistics, transportation security, port operations, real estate, options trading, and also served time as a ship’s officer on a major shipping line. He also proudly serves in the United States Naval Reserve, holding the rank of Lieutenant. He has participated in multiple readiness deployment exercises for United States Naval vessels abroad.

His consulting experiences include a variety of projects in size and scope, for both public and private entities, as well as public-private partnerships.
